Ardrossan is made up of a number of incredible community groups that each play a special part. From our numerous sporting clubs, to CFS, Ambulance, Meals on Wheels and numerous others there is something for everyone to volunteer and be involved in.

Ardrossan Tidy Towns

Ardrossan Tidy Towns are a group of friendly locals who volunteer around the town once a week to keep it beautiful.

Ardrossan and Community Men's Shed

The Ardrossan and Community Men’s Shed have numerous projects on the go, recently receiving recognition for their work with Osprey Nesting Platforms. Volunteers and members are welcome at both of these groups, for more information see the Ardrossan Information Centre.

Acknowledgement of Country

Ardrossan Progress Association acknowledges the traditional custodians, the Narungga people. We pay respects to their Elders, past and present. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

Ardrossan Football Club

The Ardrossan Football Club participates in the Yorke Peninsula Football league. Its home games are only played at the Ardrossan Oval. The away games are played as far north as Bute and as far south as Warooka with many grounds in-between. The Yorke Peninsula Football league is currently thriving. This club is mostly organised though the facebook page. here

Ardrossan Cricket Club

The Ardrossan Crabs Cricket Club plays in the Yorke Peninsula Cricket Association, often travelling North for games. Information can be found on the Ardrossan Crabs Supporters facebook page. here

The Ardrossan Bowling Club has two Ladies and four Men's Pennant Sides playing in the respective Yorke Peninsula Bowling Association against clubs from the Northern area of the Peninsula:-

We also field two sides of 6 players (Triples) in the Mid-Week Southern Yorke Peninsula Association.

Ardrossan Golf Club

The Ardrossan Golf Club is an 18 hole sand scrape course with watered fairways and tee boxes. The course is fairly short from all tees and is gently undulating, which makes it ideal for players of all ages.

Visitors are always welcome to play. An honesty box is available to pay green fees when the clubhouse is not manned. Competitions are usually held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. More information on visiting the Ardrossan Golf Club can be found here.

Ardrossan Netball Club

The Ardrossan Netball Club is a member of the Yorke Peninsula Netball Association. Games follow the Yorke Peninsula Football League schedule. Information about the Ardrossan Netball Club can be found on the facebook page. here

East Coast Basketball Club

The East Coast Basketball Club plays in the Southern Yorke Peninsula Basketball Association. Information can be found on the facebook page. here  Every Friday night in summer Adrossan and surrounding community participate as 'East Coast' in the Southern Yorke Peninsula Basketball Association. All grades and ages play on the same night starting at approximately 6pm with the last games sometimes being 11pm. East Coast endeavors to put forward both a men’s and women’s A and B grade as well as 3 junior ages groups starting at Under 12’s.

Ardrossan Tennis Club

 

Ardrossan was named after a Scotland port of the same name as they shared a similar coastline.
